Liza Anne needs to be on your radar.
Based out of Nashville, signed to Broken Social Scene’s Arts & Crafts label, she’s a far cry from country and in fact is barely definable within the current climate of female singer-songwriters.
Perhaps a little PJ Harvey? A touch of Yeah Yeah Yeahs meets Florence? Her cover of the Cranberries’ classic, ‘Dreams,’ paves the way for her latest EP of the same name.
Expect deep dark indie pop feels, especially if you’re smart enough to get tickets to her London show at the Courtyard on 26th September.
