Lilliput are a five piece alternative folk band from Sunderland who formed in the summer of 2011. The past year has seen them play many gigs in and around the North East ranging from intimate acoustic gigs, to sold out headline shows in Independent. The guitars and harmonies are reminiscent of Fleet Foxes and their emotive lyrics and percussion beats can’t help but bring a smile to your face.

Crooked Hands began in 2011 with front man, Christopher Brown, playing alone with his acoustic guitar. After adding more guitars, keys and drums, the Newcastle based five piece have become bigger and louder. With haunting harmonies and emotional lyrics, Crooked Hands can’t help but send a shiver down your spine.

Holy Moly and the Crackers are a four piece indie/folk band hailing from Newcastle. After gigging around Newcastle over the past year, they have gained a lot of attention and in January 2012 were signed to Northern Lights Music. They have spent their summer touring their debut album, ‘First Avenue’, around the country and are said to be planning a European tour for 2013.

Brother and Bones are a 5 piece blues/alternative folk band . Their music has been compared to that of Mumford and Sons but with a darker, heavier tone. After forming in 2010, the past 2 years have seen them progress in their music and the band are now playing packed out shows to fans around the country. Their tour throughout October and November will showcase plenty of new songs, including tracks from the forthcoming EP, ‘For All We Know’, which is due for release on 12th November 2012.

Marc O’Reilly is an Irish-French folk singer from Waterford, acclaimed as the new sensation for Irish folk roots music. His debut album, ‘My Friend Marx’, caught a lot of people’s attention and made it onto many ‘Best of 2011’ lists. It even got him tipped for ‘One’s to Watch in 2012’. With mesmerising guitar playing and moving lyrics, he is not a singer you want to miss live.
