This Year Washington Irving have been developing their new blend of powerful folk rock with a darker edge. Keeping busy touring across the UK and performing at Festivals such as Celtic Connections, Heb Celt Festival, Wickerman, Deer Shed and Hop Farm as well as recording their debut album, they’re currently bringing about the most exciting electric shows around.
Donald Macdonald & The Islands are a singer songwriter led band and the Islands’ energetic and often raucous stage presence has found the band pla
ying bigger and better stages in no time since their inception., new age folk outfit driven by a desire to tell stories through song that will undoubtedly have a crowd dancing with them.
Joe Banfi has just released the ‘Iron EP’ on the 24th September 2012 through Communion Records. Already championed at XFM and 6Music with thanks to a solitary track, ‘Olive Green’, on Communion’s recent New Faces compilation, Northwich’s Joe Banfi has that stark individualism that Communion discovered with the debut releases by both Michael Kiwanuka and Ben Howard too.
Robin Adams is a singer songwriter of high quality and output, currently working on his 3 studio album, he comes from a rich music heritage. Son of Chris and Pauline Adams, the leading members of late 60s early 70s cult band String Driven Thing. His music draws from a deep well of influence from the distant Delta Blues pioneers of the early 1900s to slightly more modern songwriters such as Nick Drake, Michael Hurley, Kurt Cobain, Neil Young and Neutral Milk Hotel.
