Bristol Communion 4th March 2012 at the Louisiana
Now that our inaugural Bristol Communion 2012 is over, we’re right back this March with yet another line-up of musical wonderfulness – well what did you expect?
Here’s who we’ve got for you this month…
Crowns - http://www.crownsband.com/
Cornwall’s finest and purveyors of Fish Punk, Crowns are back after their storming set at last year’s Bushstock. Due to release a brand new 6-track EP on St Piran’s Day – March 5th – this is one of the band’s first headline dates this year, before they head out on a national tour with Sharks later in the month. Not to be missed these boys bring their own brand of debauched, raucous shantyesque folk-punk
Alms - https://www.facebook.com/almsmusic
Back in Bristol, we’re very excited to have the beautiful, beautiful Alms on the bill. Combining elements of Fleet Foxes, Mumford and Sons twisted with their own delicate folk melodies they are a definite must see on a bracing Sunday evening in March. What’s more they’ll be bringing a handful of new tunes with them.
Rae Morris - www.raemorris.co.uk
Having just signed with Atlantic & with an upcoming tour supporting Noah & The Whale – there’s plenty of buzz around Miss Morris at the moment. No smoke without fire though, her blend of vocals and keyboards are nothing short of stunning. Come see her now so you can say you saw her first when she inevitably pops up on Jools Holland in the not too distant future. (thankyou Manchester for the words)
