Dublin Communion October 2011

Dublin Communion October 2011Communion launched in Dublin last year to tremendous reception and won the hearts of so many music fans after hosting an impressive string of events, showcasing artists such as Nathaniel Rateliff, Cloud Castle Lake, We Cut Corners and Lisa O’Neill. Following a cheeky summer holiday, spent drinking copious amounts of red wine and spying on fresh talent at festivals Green Man, Electric Picnic, Spirit of Folk and even Belladrum in the highlands of Scotland, Communion Dublin have returned and are set to launch at one of Dublin’s most respected live music venues – The Academy 2.

The evening will feature an enviable line up of young artists, including Scotlands Admiral Fallow who have steadily been gathering an impressive fan base since the release of their debut album Boots Met My Face, earlier this year. With an overwhelming response from crowds on the festival circuit, and notably their debut performance at SXSW this year, Admiral Fallow is definitely one to watch. Support on the night comes from Irelands very own ‘Windings’ and ‘Our Little Secrets’ ringleader Rhob Cunningham. You’ve seen Windings at Electric Picnic and read a multitude of buoyant album reviews from Nialler9, Jim Carroll and HotPress. Rhob Cunningham is back on Irish Soil after nailing a truckload of European dates very recently. He’s shared the stage with Gil Scott Heron, Lisa Hannigan, Bell X1 and Cathy Davey.
