Brighton Communion Summer Special
LUCY ROSE
Following enchanting performances at our very own Bushstock Festival in June and her recent single launch party for ‘Middle of the Bed’ at Cargo in London, we’re very excited to announce that Lucy Rose will be coming to The Hope on Saturday 30th July to headline another 5-strong Communion line-up.
“A voice that could melt the stoniest of hearts.” Q Magazine
“Lucy Rose is absolutely outstanding. A brilliant, brilliant voice that girl has on her.” Edith Bowman, Radio 1

NIMMO & THE GAUNTLETTS
So much exciting stuff to say about these guys. Represented by the Joe Strummer Foundation for new music as well as being featured by legendary filmmaker Don Letts in his documentary about Strummerville… They played the main stage at Secret Garden Party, Lounge on the Farm and Winterwell festivals last year, started 2010 with The Great Escape and Camden Crawl, and have just returned from supporting Brandon Flowers and Mystery Jets at the beautiful Eden Sessions in Cornwall!
They play an exciting and infectious mixture of jazzy folk and dub, invoking the spirit of early punk and new-wave, while maintaining the heart of modern London indie.

JENNERS FIELD
Having sold out London’s legendary 100 Club, Jenners Field recently self-released their debut single ‘Drunk Drive’ – on the evidence of this strong opening offering, they seem set to meet with major success. Confident and mature.
“Jenners Field play with an amazing energy and have a confident spirit of adventure in their arrangements that make them compelling to watch” -Peter Gordeno, Depeche Mode

A very promising acoustic talent hailing from Southsea.
