Communion Belfast presents Easter Special
Iain Archer
Bangor award winning singer-songwriter returns to Belfast for an intimate solo show in the Black Box. When not focusing on touring his new album, To The Pine Roots, Iain can be found playing alongside REM’s Peter Buck part of Gary Lightbody’s new project Tired Pony, or lending some live guitars in Snow Patrol.
Rhob Cunningham
Very happy to welcome Dublin based Rhob up to the Black Box. In May 2010 he released an album under the banner ‘Our Little Secrets’. Over the course of the last year, Rhob & co. played countless support slots for Gil Scott Heron, Villagers, Tori Amos, Cathy Davey, Kristin Hersh, Turin Brakes, James McMorrow, Mundy, Jennifer Evans, Damien Jurado and Lisa Hannigan.
Feldberg
Iceland’s own, Feldberg have been raising their profile a great deal of late. Signed to Smalltown America Records (UK), Rallye Music (Japan) and Cod Music (Iceland), they won SONG OF THE YEAR at the 2010 Iceland Music Awards for Dreamin’ (Previous winners include Sigur Rós & Björk) with two other nominations. The song was played on BBC6 Music and CRW, was on Record of the day (as Song Of The Day) and was featured on Kitsune Compilation 9.
