Communion Bristol X – ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY
A whole year has passed since Communion commuted to Bristol and the night has gradually be making a name for itself as everything for Communion is getting a little too exciting to handle!
This month we have four TOP acts for your enjoyment, all bands, all pretty genius.
First up:
OWL IN THE SUN
The brilliant six-piece from Bath play melody-driven, acoustic songs rooted in folky americana and gypsy jazz. Their original songs combine guitar, accordion, banjo, fiddle, flute, double bass, rhodes piano and drums with rich vocal harmonies

ISLANDER
Extremely fresh on the scene these guys will have a lot to offer with their exciting sound in the upcoming year. Beautifully structured melodies, with some epic vocals.
GREENWICH TEA PARTY
A brilliant indie folk band hailing from the great up north, Liverpool, will be joining the bill. The carefully crafted music of the band isn’t intimidating or elitist but accessible with intriguing lyrics and instrumentation, inspired by Radiohead, Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear.

THREE BLIND WOLVES
Coming on like a countrified Modest Mouse, they waste no time in getting the crowd interested. With excellent use of four-way harmonies and have a hint of bluegrass about them, while not shying away from a more bombastic sound elsewhere. Boasting well constructed tunes with dynamic hooks and transitions that are clever without being smug, this is very definitely a band to keep an eye on.
