London Communion Christmas Special
It’s nearly Christmas, and Communion is hosting it’s own party to celebrate on the 5th December! We’ve got together a collection of our favourite acts and very best friends to play a special festive show just for you…
Headlining we have the incendiary Three Blind Wolves – Scottish champions of ‘spooky country blues’ – we’ve been getting reports from all over the country about them and are beside ourselves about hearing them live. Next up is the deeply talented and internationally successful Foy Vance. The Irish gospel/soul giant has been described by the Sunday Times as an ‘unbelievable voice’. We feel blessed just be in the same building, let alone to have the man himself playing for us. The Staves return to Communion after their triumphant performance at our Flowerpot takeover in July, if you haven’t heard them they are truly fantastic, and destined for great things in 2011. Next on the list is an artist very close to all our hearts; the wonderfully talented dreamboat of a man, and the most gifted songwriter in London – Andrew Davie. Newcomer Bella Spinks is next up playing beautifully haunting Kate Bush inspired melodies, and first on, all the way from the US is the mysterious and hotly tipped Alana Stewart.
We’ve also got our Communion regulars DJ Jam and the Chess Club on the decks, and joining them we have the indefatigable Beans on Toast who has passed over his Santa Claus outfit to our very own Mazin Tappuni. Not only that, taking time out from recording his first album, we have everyone’s favourite gentleman, Mr Josh Weller. Well chaps, what more could you want?! Could it better than Christmas itself? Well, maybe not, but we’re damn excited, and so should you be. We’re looking forward to seeing you there. Merry Christmas!
